Complete rejuvenation of body, mind and spirit is possible when vitality is high
61Longevity - Growing Young
A youthful skin, shining white teeth, boundless energy and a trim body belong to everyone. With a formidable body of knowledge available to us about juices, herbs and flowers, we can take stock of our lives and make changes that can not only make us feel better, but that can also make us look more youthful. Ordinary foods cannot always give us the nutrients necessary to fight disease, nor can they always repair and rebuild human parts. In order to obtain optimal amounts of vitamin E, beta-carotene and minerals, including magnesium, boron, zinc and potassium, we have to look for superfoods growing in rich, nutritious soil.
Natural nutrition with vitamins and nutrients in balanced form.
Wheatgrass has been extensively tested in the US for over 70 years. Scientists in America first started studying grasses in the 1930's in an effort to improve the nutrition of animal feed. It was found that wheatgrass provided very impressive amounts nutrition and that animals fed on this young grass gained weight faster and were free of common health problems. Much exciting information has come to light from this research, and here we look at those aspects that can free us from the normal bonds of aging.
Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD) is abundant in wheatgrass. SOD, with other enzymes and micro-nutrients found in wheatgrass, assist in the break-down of large toxic molecules housed in the system, metabolizing and eliminating them. They help fight free-radicals and add ammunition in the fight against the aging process. According to researchers, wheatgrass contains substances that can actually encourage cells to grow younger instead of older as the years go by.
Vibrant Vegetable Juices - Drink your health!
Nutritious drinks made from fresh vegetables and combined with wheatgrass will assist the body in detoxifying, remineralizing and rebuilding.
Healthy Vegetables:
Carrots, celery, cabbage, beetroot, cucumber, broccoli, red pepper, tomato, ginger, fennel, garlic. Other beneficial greens: Small amounts of dandelion greens, mustard greens, watercress, and small amounts of herbs, flowers can be used for good health.
Sprouts are invaluable for optimal nutrition!
Sprouting changes an inert seed into an active, 'living', and easily digestible food source that is incredibly rich in vitamins and minerals. Sprouted pumpkin seeds (also known as pepitas), for instance, possess high levels of antioxidant vitamins C & E, and carotenes - strongly linked to a lower risk level for cancer, heart disease, stroke and cataracts.
Never use any herb or flower that you are not sure of.
